The Lake Trout bite is nothing short of fantastic this time of year and we have been having a lot of fun out there. Our recipe is a large spread of stick baits and spoons pulled over shallow structure looking for small pods of bait and lake trout. Doubles and triples are not uncommon and often the most difficult task of the day is keeping the rods in the water! On this particular day Sean and his father had their hands full. The wind was ripping and we had a tough time keeping the boat under control. Wind generally means a good bite though and usually gets them on the chew, you just have to put your head down and focus on the game!
