Northern Pike fishing....the final days of the Season!

As the season approaches an end we are still out there looking for safe ice and hunting giant pike like this nice 38" female. We found a fish today and although it was not a 40"+ fish it was a beauty none the less. What a gorgeous day to be on the ice. These are some of the best days of the season as we had a high temperature of 45 today, sunny skies and no wind. We are targeting these pike in shallow staging areas. These are areas adjacent to spawning grounds the fish will use to hang out around and feed until Mother nature gives them the thumbs up to begin the spring spawn.
